Wells Fargo Advisors Names Eddie Queen to Lead Digital and Automated Investing

Queen will oversee firm’s offerings for mass and mass-affluent investors

ST. LOUIS – June 8, 2017 – Wells Fargo Advisors today announced it has named Eddie Queen head of Digital and Automated Investing, reporting to David Kowach, president and head of the firm.

Queen will lead the firm’s vision and strategy for combining technology with phone-based advisors to deliver personalized advice at scale to new and emerging investors, including the launch of the firm’s digital investing offering, Intuitive InvestorSM, later this year.

“Shifting consumer preferences and changing demographics are leading us to rethink how we deliver advice to clients, including those who may be investing for the first time,” said Kowach. “Through technology and client collaboration, Wells Fargo Advisors is shifting its business into the future, and Eddie’s team will play a key role bringing advice and investment strategy to the next generation in ways that are affordable for new and emerging investors.”

Digital and Automated Investing comprises the firm’s do-it-yourself WellsTrade® offering, its Solutions offering with phone-based advisors, as well as its hybrid Intuitive Investor offering for new and emerging investors. It is a complement to Wells Fargo Advisors’ full-service advice for affluent clients.

Queen most recently held positions as director of Digital Investing and head of Strategy for Wells Fargo Advisors, working closely with the firm’s Operating Committee to identify top business priorities and establish implementation plans. Before joining the firm, he held management and strategy roles across investment and banking at Citi and Smith Barney.
