Created jointly by Wells Fargo Advisors and the College for Financial Planning®, the Accredited Domestic Partnership AdvisorSM, or ADPA®, program educates Financial Advisors about the unique financial needs and considerations of domestic partners. Because there is no legal recognition for domestic partners under federal law and little recognition in most states and localities, domestic partners often find that issues pertaining to wealth management, retirement planning and asset transfers to heirs present numerous challenges when it comes to achieving life goals. Financial Advisors with Wells Fargo Advisors were the first in the industry to receive the ADPA designation. Our Financial Advisors who have the ADPA designation have been trained on key issues affecting domestic partners and are dedicated to providing them with tailored investment planning solutions.
