The Manager Leadership Program is an industry leading leadership development program that identifies and develops new manager talent. The program helps you understand your skills and allows you the flexibility to develop and prepare for a field leadership role in WFA. Those selected for the program work alongside a Market Leader to develop their skills and help the market thrive.

Associate Managers will work to develop their skills in all aspects of branch leadership including:

  • Create an inspired, unified, and motivated branch team
  • Recruit, select, and retain new & experienced Financial Advisors
  • Coach Financial Advisors to help grow their practices
  • Manage branch profitability and risk
  • Supervise and protect the interests of clients and the firm
  • Actively position the market and the firm as a leader within your community

A Rewarding and Challenging Path

Selecting the path to branch leadership is a significant investment in your career. Participation puts you on a two year development path that prepares you for all aspects of running a branch or territory. Relocation may be required to enter and/or after the program.

We recognize the importance of a strong support network to ensure that graduates complete the program fully prepared to excel in their new role. MLP supports Associate Managers with a wealth of resources including a Host Manager, a coach, a MLP-graduate mentor, and a small class of peers. Finding the right match between Associate Manager and Host Manager is key so that you can get the most out of the program.

The Management Leadership Program is customized to each Associate Manager's development needs and plan. The goal of the program is to ensure every participant graduates with the leadership skills required to become a manager and be eligible to apply for manager positions.
