Transition Process

The road map for transitioning protocol and non-protocol firms looks slightly different. Refer to the timelines below for more information.

Protocol

60 days before joining through Day 1

  • Transition plan review
  • Client contact strategy – planning

  • Platform demonstration

Stage 1: Pre-Hire

Day 1 priorities

  • Advisor resigns
  • Implement license and registration transfer
  • Initiate the annuity and insurance license transfer process
  • Client packages overnighted to clients listed in portal
  • Send Reg BI email blast upon license transfer

Stage 2: Hire Date

Day 1 through 30

  • Assigned onsite or remote transition support
  • Daily priority discussion
  • Confirm accuracy and/or gather client information
  • Execute client onboarding and asset transfer
  • Monitor transition plan
  • Track account opening and settlement
  • Status reporting
  • Operational and platform training
  • Exit summary

Stage 3: Transition Support

Day 30 through 360

  • Transition feedback and questionnaire
  • Platform coaching and support
  • Business support manager

Stage 4: Post-Hire Support

  • Transition plan review
